The Special Case 01 ... 04 fields (System->Configuration->Shipping Methods->FreightWise LTL Extension) is a great way for admins to create special shipping methods linked to products that do not conform to the general LTL rating process.

Call for Quote
Following is an example of requiring a user during checkout to call for a quote. Having set "-1" on the "Special Case 01 - Value" field indicates that the user cannot checkout.
Flatbed, please Call for Quote
Following is an example of requiring a user during checkout to call for a quote based on a product requiring a flatbed truck. Having set "-1" on the "Special Case 01 - Value" field indicates that the user cannot checkout.
White Glove Delivery
Following is an example of notifying a user during checkout that one or more of their products requires White Glove Service. Having set "0" on the "Special Case 01 - Value" field indicates that the user can continue checkout with a $0.00 value for shipping and that Company XYZ will call regarding details for this white glove delivery service.
Custom Delivery
Following is an example of notifying a user during checkout that one or more of their products is a Custom Delivery charge of $250.00. Having set "250" on the "Special Case 01 - Value" field indicates that the user can continue checkout with a $250.00 value for shipping and that Company XYZ will call regarding details for this custom delivery.
