Carrier Account Number Setup

The following article will outline the steps required for configuration settings when a FreightWise Client utilizes R+L Carriers who submits their Freight Invoices to FreightWise via EDI 210 in place of paper invoices.

Collect Account Codes

The first step is collecting all of the account codes for the company and carrier. R+L Carriers account codes can be found on the last page of the Carrier Contract.

Find the Company that you are collecting the Account Codes for via Admin > Company Mgmt. Once under the Company open Files > Contracts and look for the R+L contracts. Select the contract for review, if it is a PDF you will be able to view it within the page, other file types will need to be downloaded and viewed.

The Account Codes can be found on the final page of R+L Carriers Contracts.

Add Carrier Account Codes

There are 2 methods for setting up the Carrier Account Numbers that will link the Client's Branches to the Carrier Freight Invoices.

Via the Carrier

Start by opening the Admin panel and selecting 'Company Mgmt.' to search for the Carrier. Lookup the Carrier that you are adding, editing, or deleting numbers, then scroll down to the 'Carrier Account Nums' section, click on the arrow to expand the section.

Select Carrier Account Nums

If creating a new, select the + sign.

The Carrier Account Num Editor modal will display as a new pop-up window.

  • Search for the Client
  • Select the Company Branch
    • The Company Branch will auto-populate according to the selected Client.
  • Enter the Carrier Account Num
  • Save

Via the Client

Start by opening the Admin panel and selecting 'Company Mgmt.' to search for the Company/Client. Lookup the Company/Client that you are adding, editing, or deleting numbers, then scroll down to the 'Carrier Account Nums' section, click on the arrow to expand the section.

If creating a new, select the + sign.

The Carrier Account Num Editor modal will display as a new pop-up window.

  • Select the Company Branch
    • The Company Branch will auto-populate according to the selected Client.
  • Enter the Carrier Account Num
  • Save
