TMS RELEASE NOTES

Release Summary
Greetings from Freightwise Product Management! This document serves as the official Release Notes for our Q4 2023 Release. Q423 focused on 3 key themes and included a multitude of different functional enhancements.
The themes were:
- Regional Parcel
- As we bring to market our new regional parcel program, we continue to expand our list of carriers available, with DHL eCommerce and OnTrac. Additional carrier support will be a recurring theme as we move into 2024.
- User Experience
- The Recent Rates, Pro # Management, and Commodity Management Grids now have enhanced user experience and reporting capabilities. See below for details on each grid.
- The Freightwise menu items have been rearranged to follow the typical shipment life cycle creating a more user friendly experience within our application.
- Infrastructure
- This release included work that is a part of larger ongoing projects that will not be seen by the end user as of Q4 2023.

Regional Parcel
Regional Parcel Carrier Connectivity
Overview:
In this release, we continued to deliver new carrier options and connectivity to support our regional parcel offering. This effort included rollout of additional carrier support, adding to our available carriers. We now support the following carriers:
- LSO (Lone Star Overnight)
- DHL ecommerce
- OnTrac
Implementation:
- API connectivity now exists for the above listed carriers.
- This includes APIs for rate quotes, labeling, and tracking
- Clients approved to use FreightWise regional parcel contracts can utilize these carriers for execution.
User Experience
Enhanced Commodity Management Grid
Overview:
In this release, we updated the Commodity Management Grid to a new, enhanced user interface (UI) that includes the ability to:
- Filter commodity data in a more user-friendly manner
- Rearrange columns in custom order
- Generate Ad hoc invoice reporting through export to CSV
Implementation:
The Commodity Management grid can now be accessed through the new, Data Management tab on the main menu.
- Filter one or more columns through advanced filter options
- Download a CSV with custom filtered data
Enhanced Pro # Management Grid
Overview:
In this release, we updated the Pro # Management Grid to a new, enhanced user interface (UI) that includes the ability to:
- Filter commodity data in a more user-friendly manner
- Rearrange columns in custom order
- Generate Ad hoc invoice reporting through export to CSV
- Cancel Pros easily in bulk
Implementation:
The Pro # Management grid can now be accessed through the new, Data Management tab on the main menu.
- Select 1 or more available pros and a “Cancel X Pros” button will show giving the user the option to cancel pros in bulk
Enhanced Recent Rates Grid
Overview:
In this release, we updated the Recent Rates grid, alongside gaining the other enhanced features, users can now view rates in a time range instead of one day at a time and have access to additional columns.
Implementation:
- Date Filter: The recent rates grid now displays results from a time up to the last 30 days. Use the calendar option to see rates for a date past 30 days.
- New Columns:
- LCC Carrier Name
- LCC Total
- Mode
- Refined Columns:
- Weight & Direction - now shown as separate columns
- PO#, SO#, Pack, Delv # - now shown as separate columns. Note: data is populated in these columns if the rate was generated via a Shipment, BOL, or the vendor portal.
- Optional Columns:
- Users now have the option to add or remove any columns on the grid through the column selector
- Users now have the option to add or remove any columns on the grid through the column selector
Updated Main Menu
Overview:
The Freightwise main menu has been updated to create a better user experience. Note: Users will still only see the tabs that they have been assigned access to and will not necessarily see all the tabs listed below.

- The Freightwise menu items have been rearranged to follow the typical shipment life cycle, creating a more user friendly experience within our application. The menu options are now grouped in the below sections.
- The naming convention of the invoice tabs have been updated to better reflect their functionality
- A new Data Management tab has been added and will contain access to the Pro Management and Commodity Management Grids

Public API Enhancement
Overview:
Each quarter we strive to enhance Freightwise’s API capabilities. For clients utilizing Order Management and Shipment Management in Freightwise and are integrated through the Public API, we enhanced the ‘Get Shipment’ call to include Average Cost Per Order & Order Details. This will only apply if there are orders associated with the shipment. The Get Shipment payload will now include the following information:
- Average Cost Per Order: Total Shipment Cost / # of orders
- Order Details: Dates, Addresses, Direction, Term, Commodities, Accessorials, PO#, SO #
Implementation:
This update applies to any clients currently using Order management in Freightwise to create shipments & are integrated to Freightwise through the Public API. Reach out to your Customer Success Director if you are interested in having this set up.
